Dr. Peters is a northern Kentucky native, but treats Anderson County as his second home. He has a wonderful wife, Leslie, and three great boys.
Dr. Peters is a 2000 graduate of the University of Louisville. He has been practicing at Family Dental Center since 2003. His interests in dentistry are sedation dentistry, implant dentistry, TMJ issues and oral surgery.

After graduating from Mercy Academy in 1983, she attended Bellarmine University and the University of Louisville for her undergraduate education. She attended the University Of Louisville School Of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and participated in oral cancer research. After graduating from Dental School in 1991, Dr. Shackleton opened a general dentistry practice, providing dental care to adults and children for 4 years.
With her passion still in orthodontics, she entered the Graduate Program in Orthodontics at the University of Louisville in July, 1995. Upon graduation in June 1997, she received her Certificate in the Specialty of Orthodontics and Master of Science Degree in Oral Biology. She is certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and has been published in the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics.
Dr. Shackleton devotes her time between her Louisville and Frankfort offices. She resides in Audubon Park and loves spending time with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys the outdoors, gardening and reading.
Dr. Bowers is a native of eastern Kentucky. She and her husband Dennis reside in Shelbyville, Ky. They have two children and two grandchildren. She is an avid sports fan and loves cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats. She also volunteers as a pianist at the Masonic Home in Shelbyville.
Dr. Bowers is a graduate of Morehead State University and the University Of Louisville School Of Dentistry. She has been an associate at Family Dental Center for over 15 years and previously practiced in Shelbyville, KY.
Dr. Bowers enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, especially cosmetics.
Dr. Natalie is a southern California native, but moved to Kentucky for dental school. She ended up falling in love with Kentucky and has now made the Bluegrass state her new home. Originally from the northern Los Angeles area, she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in General Biology at the University of California, San Diego. She then earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Kentucky, College of Dentistry (go Cats!). When she is not practicing dentistry at Family Dental Center, she also serves with the Kentucky National Guard as a Dental Corps Officer.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband, Dr. Eric Jacobson, who is also a dentist and practices in northern Kentucky. Cooking and family are her passions, and is grateful to also have family nearby to spend time with in her Lexington home.
Dr. Jacobs is a native of the Northern Kentucky area. He completed his undergraduate degree, master’s degree in Public Health, and Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree at the University of Kentucky.
On his off day, Dr. Jacobs covers the student clinic at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. Dr. Jacobs enjoys all areas of dentistry but looks forward to expanding his knowledge of dental implants and full mouth rehabilitation.
In his spare time he enjoys the great outdoors. He loves to hunt, fish, kayak and spend time hiking with his dog Zoey. He currently lives in Lexington with his fiancé, Alli, a current orthodontic resident at the University of Kentucky. Go CATS!
